It was January 2018, I was in Chicago with Stephanie Klemons. We agreed to a 9:00 AM workout at the hotel gym. The goal was a 16 minute run followed by a variety of cardio and strength exercises. I couldn't do it. I was exhausted after just one minute, and walked for another fifteen minutes. I struggled through the other exercises, and was so relieved when it finally ended. My butt had been kicked. The struggle felt left me so disappointed, I knew it was time to make some changes.
Getting outside, breathing fresh air, and putting one foot in front of the other was extremely grounding in its repetition. The more I ran the more I felt inspired to race. I have run four marathons, four half-marathons, and countless other short distance races. My running journey has not been a quick-fix to weight loss, but rather has holistically changed my life.
As a Running Coach and Personal Trainer, I like to serve as a resource for others to create and maintain a healthful lifestyle. My goal is to holistically change lives by creating custom training plans, providing social support, accountability, and in-person training.
